This is a great machine. I don't have much time in this particular spad. I look forward to more of this ole' girl. DC3's are generally great flying airplanes, capable of most anything. Of course anyone that has any knowledge of this airplane, whether 3 buffs, historians or just any plain 3 pilot already know this. UPDATE I have taken the 3 to 5 airshows this year so far. Pretty much non eventful except losing a cylinder coming home from Indiana in July. Had to make a emergency landing in Talyorville Illinois. Didn't think a DC3 could shake that bad. Maybe it was me shaking the DC3.
The AC47 has one of the three mini guns completed and mounted. The others are still under construction. They are exact replicas and eventually will be propane driven for airshows.
Many Vietnam vets have commented on this plane and how it saved many lives. These picture were in the September 01 issue of " Air Classics" magazine of th AC-47 and the AC-130.
